DALL·E 2
play with DALL·E 2
monstrous effects.
I’ve been photo editing a digital photo series I shot back in 2019 that will also entail 2D animations COMING SOON but have been having the toughest time finishing because I wanted to extend my hair length in every photograph but have it look “natural”. I have tried many ways & put many hours in & because each picture is shot on location, outside in different natural lighting in different locations & different angles it’s a daunting amount of work to edit each image layer by layer— so a friend recommended I try playing with DALL·E 2 as a “quick fix” for all my pictures…
…the results were
monstrous.
The original image — cropped— because I don’t want to give too much of the series away & also was hoping the Ai would read & edit just my “photo realistic portrait”.
DALL·E 2 — working format is 1:1 1024 x 1024
The stuff of nightmares this is my 2nd new original image. The Ai was taking the hair info it had of my original image hair & trying to dye it pink —but never added length. Even when I erased my hair in DALL·E. So I tried erasing where I generally wanted my hair in the photograph & giving it similar prompts. This was my 2nd new original image.
On the left is the best result I was able to do with DALL·E & on the right was my current best outcome using photoshop.
I have yet to try making a special brush tool that mimics my hair to digitally hand-paint in hair — with these results I plan on trying that next. I am learning so much!
Make “Bad Art”
& enjoy the process!
